Free Night of Theater

Free Night of Theater is a national audience development initiative created by Theatre Communications Group, the premiere national theater service organization, and carried out by theater service organizations around the country. The program is designed to give away free tickets to theater productions nationwide on a particular date. In northeast Ohio, the Cleveland Theater Collective acts as the regional “point” organization for this event by identifying marketing partners, obtaining tickets from participating theaters, and taking reservations via the CTC website at www.clevelandtheater.com.

Now presented in more than 120 cities, by over 650 theaters, the program provides a unique opportunity for theatres, service organizations, arts councils and even city governments to collaborate on a nationwide initiative that increases their visibility, provides new sponsorship opportunities, and introduces new audiences in their community to the joy of theatre for the first time.
